Course Description: Does pastoral and lay visitation matter anymore? Do people not want to be contacted or bothered? This course will focus on the extreme importance of visitation in the life of the church, especially when it comes to mission. The class will examine the biblical foundations of visitation and the different types of connections that can be made. This course will also focus on the centrality of developing relationships within and outside of the community, along with the training of laity in making these calls. A special emphasis will be placed on the intentional outreach that occurs when visitation is prioritized in the life of the church.
