InterTerm Intensive Courses
InterTerms can be a great way to visit and experience the North American Lutheran Seminary! Every January and June for several weeks Trinity School for Ministry and the North American Lutheran Seminary presents interterm classes and events. These consist of both Master’s level courses and free lectures. You may decide to take the course for credit or audit.
Every January and June, folks come from all over the country to Ambridge, Pennsylvania to take advantage of one- or two-week-long intensive courses offered by the North American Lutheran Seminary and Trinity School for Ministry. During these weeks, online students have the opportunity to join residential students in completing required coursework. Pastors and lay people often use the classes offered during these weeks for continued personal and professional development, worshiping and learning alongside both their peers and future leaders of the church. Visitors also have many opportunities to hear from knowledgeable scholars through a variety of free workshops and symposia offerings. Interterm courses are ideal for several categories of people:
- Seminarians and NALC candidates for whom the following classes are graduation requirements. (Interested non-NALS students should contact us for more information on how to register for a course.)
- Lutheran pastors who are interested in continuing professional and pastoral education. (You may wish to audit the class at the reduced rate of $300 per class.)
- Lutheran lay leaders who may find these courses beneficial for your own continued growth in knowledge and faith as well as strengthening for your leadership. (You may also wish to audit.)
